The Wood Bullet was designed with the help of Buckin' Billy Ray Smith through decades of extensive tree-cutting and wood-splitting experience. Weighing in at a hefty 5 pounds, the Wood Bullet is the heaviest axe in our lineup. The long poll not only adds more balance to the axe head but also lends itself well to be used with the flicking technique when splitting. The blade of the Wood Bullet has a high center line, forming a convex cross-section to aid in releasing the axe in a log. Everything from the geometry of the head to the palm swell on the premium 31" hickory handle was designed and built from the ground up with wood splitting in mind. You'll wear out before this axe ever does.
